About the Program

Caribbean Voices is an audio program designed to inform both the public and university audiences as to the culture, news perspectives and history of the countries within the Caribbean Basin as an outreach opportunity for LACSI and for the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. The program includes music, interviews and discussions surrounding issues involving the Caribbean Basin countries. These countries are: Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Montserrat, Netherlands Antilles, Nicaragua, Panama, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago. Experts invited as guests are people in the Athens, Georgia area who are actively working in the Caribbean. Each program’s podcast is posted below the chapters on a specific menu page.
